ONE OF A KIND        ORIGINAL WORK OF ART Vintage Batik of a Large Deer Beautifully Done on fabric that looks like felt this is from an estate the family said it was from a NY artist purchased in 1938. The photo's do not do the beauty justice. Frame is Fabulous and Beautiful as well. The picture  frame is 32"s wide x 36"s long.   In the batik process melted wax is applied to parts of a design Not intended to take colour and the cloth is then dyed, this is repeated as necessary for other colours, the wax being washed out with hot water after each dying. The process was used in the 16th & 17th century For dying expensive cotton fabrics.   Shipping cost will be calculated by your zip code upon completion of auction I have put an approx shipping because ebay makes you do it now!
