They went on to say that some dealers have been pricing some of the EW/CW images as high as $12,000.00. According to Amy Conger's book, Edward Weston, Photographs, images of Edmondson taken by Louise Dahl-Wolfe in 1933, are turned down by Hearst for publication due to him being black. In 1948 Weston sent a Nancy Newhall a copy of this image for her study of black culture.Negative by Edward Weston stamp with printed by Cole Weston, signed by Cole. Negative number, title and date also on the back mount. I have taken the extra step and had the photo matted with 16"x20" rag board, so it's ready for framing! Photo is in mint condition, came directly from a Weston family member. Never been on display or sold before, as mint as the day Cole printed it. According to the Weston web site, Cole stopped printing his Father's negatives in the late 1980s.
