This is a matching set of E.A. (Artist’s Proofs) in mint condition that have not been framed or mounted. Do not confuse this with his less expensive lithographs. These pieces are on Chat Noir heavy black paper from an edition of only 45 plus proofs. The image size is 36" X 36" plus margins. Each have beautifully deckled edges on all sides which do not show up in this picture. Each print is signed by the artist in gold ink on the black paper. I photographed the image and then added the black border which is why the gold signature and deckled edges do not show up in this picture. I did not want to have to mount them to a background for the purpose of photographing them. I prefer the pieces on black paper because this brings out a striking quality in the image. The retail price of each piece is $4,500.00 X 3 = $13,500.00. My Buy-it-Now price is one-half (-50%) off the retail list and I will consider a reasonable offer. Chemiakin's serigraphs are truly master works, representative of his best work in the graphic medium. While he has created about 200 editions of lithographs, he has created only nine editions of serigraphs. His lithographs usually have 12 to 18 colors, while his serigraphs have 75 to 100 colors. Anyone wanting to own works by Mihail Chemiakin will find his serigraphs are by far the most beautiful and valuable in the graphic medium and have very limited availability. Mihail Chemiakin is one of the foremost international artists of our time. A quote from the Robb Report (Jan. 1995) states "so great are his talents that he is one of the few artists working today who sets the standard by which all other contemporary art is measured". The extent of his accomplishments, exhibitions and awards are too great to even try and mention, but I will mail his 5 page biography upon request. He has earned 5 honorary doctorates.
