Indiana was the only American artist invited by Cal Worthington, a former diplomatic analyst in Berlin, to paint one of the segments of the Wall that Worthington brought out of Berlin; the other 113 artists are all Russian. The painted fragments were shown at the United States Art Expo in New York City in 1991." (See P.
