I am the original owner of this great Andy Warhol Liz Taylor signed 1966 edition of this renowned silkscreen. It's believed that there were approx. 300 made of these. It was never a "numbered" edition. It's still in it's original Kulicke frame (he was the real framer to the stars at that time), and I got this up at a gallery in Buffalo, NY that was owned by Ed Budowski. The gallery was called The Gallery Upstairs, and represented Warhol and many other Pop artists of the time, and I was there with my brother, artist David Roth, who was putting up a show of his own there. We made a deal, and left with a George Segal seated man (sat in the backseat of our car all the way home!), a Rosenquist I still have, a Jim Dine, Claes Oldenberg and this piece. It has minimal fading, and only slight curling of the print, which in both cases seems to be what is expected. The curling can easily be remedied. I have never, ever wanted to sell it, but I am now listing it for the first time. We took it out of the frame last week and noticed a very clear handprint on the back, as if someone was carrying it while it was wet...who knows, could be Andy's handprint!? The pictures were hard to take without too much reflection, but I tried. As you can see, the signature in nice and intact.
