No loose threads or damage. Slightly wrinkled. This piece is ready to hang as a wall hanging. ~~~ This panel and the other two I am listing  have simply been in storage for about 30 years. ~~~ Dimensions: Entire fabric panel - approximately 24 1/4" x 9 1/2" Inner embroidered panel - approximately 20 7/8" x 6 1/8" Overall wall hanging - approximately 28 1/2" x 13 1/2" ~~~ This panel is embroidered with true gold and silver thread. The silver has natural tarnish. This is the most intricate, lavish, expensive type of embroidery there is. It is made by wrapping individual silk threads with almost microscopically narrow lengths of gold and silver. Not gold and silver "colored". These are the precious metals gold and silver. Rare is the word for this kind of work. Soon to be unobtainable, and never to be seen again. ~~~ It is a lively naturalistic design of superior artistic merit. A phantasmagorical scene of butterfly and flowers. Brilliant leaf green accents the fantasy. It is the sort of piece which hypnotises and draws one in. ~ Photographed in natural outdoor light.
