This impressive 8 1/2' tall solid wood, chain saw carved by a local wood artist here in the mountains, was used years ago at the local POW WOW's in Ossippee NH. . I purchased this carving about 14 years ago and its been next to our front door of our general store under our covered porch out of the weather. We were told it represented Chief Chocorua, the local Chief the mountain behind our store was named after, he stands looking out into the distance, maybe looking for game, scouting, looking for enemies, he stands protecting our store, he's absolutely stunning!.The Chief is not a tasteless "cigar store indian", this statue is a tribute to the great Chief Chocorua, or can he be a great tribute of a Chief of your local Native American history . We hate to part with this beautiful statue but we have to, the Chief has been quite an attraction.
