Description
Appaloosa horse gourd bowl by Equine artist C.L. Kieffer I have been selling my art on Ebay for the past 9 years , my gourd art, for the past 2 years, has been extremely well accepted and has been shipped world wide, with many repeat customers gracing my feedback...My images are sketched free hand then burned into the surface of the gourd with coat patterns and character evolving as I burn. No stencils or patterns are used and you will never find two exactly alike. Most of the gourds used are home grown and are not sanded or altered in any way, leaving the natural dicolorations and imperfections as part of the character of the piece. I also like creating work on the less than perfectly shaped gourds...after all it is a gourd! This gourd has 3 horses burned into the surface with the base color of the horses being the natural gourd color.... the background has been done with a blending of turquoise and denim blue dyes with violet and warm green plants.
