Kieffer I have been selling my  art on Ebay for the past 9 years , my gourd art, for the past 2 years, has been extremely well accepted and has been shipped world wide, with many repeat customers gracing my feedback...My images are sketched free hand then burned into the surface of the gourd with coat patterns and character evolving as I burn. No stencils or patterns are used and you will never find two exactly alike. Most of the gourds used are home grown and are not sanded or altered in any way, leaving the natural dicolorations and imperfections as part of the character of the piece. I also like creating work on the less than perfectly shaped gourds...after all it is a gourd! This gourd  has 5 horses burned into the surface....The horses have been colored with non fading acid free dyes with the background color being soft summer green with blue green around the top. ......the exterior has been sealed with several coats of acrylic sealer and the interior has been painted with a black Sequine Acrylic paint. These pieces are great for fruit bowls , dried arrangements or living plants set within a waterproof container in the gourd...
