Lava?) The horse head features a rather square design with straight lines It is truly a fine example of European Artisan Work     It is Signed by the artist  Pierre RiveT  at the base   On the back of the neck, there appears to be 3 letters superimposed onto one another  PRT  - Can't quite tell My guess is P (for Pierre), R  (for RiveT ) and T  (for the T in RiveT ) which are similar to his signature (see above)  The horse head Statue is in EXCELLENT CONDITION with really no flaws to speak of The horse head (by itself) measures 12" High x 12" Long x 7" Wide Net weight of the Sculpture is 61 POUNDS approx (Without the Marble Base)     Our interior decorator suggested that we purchase 2 separate Marble Bases to display & accentuate the beauty of the horse   All 3 pieces were purchased in Milan, Italy Offered in this listing is ONLY ONE Marble Base The other base can be purchased for an additional $400 and a new listing can be created to that effect The Marble Base comes in a nice Mixture of Cream, Black & White colors Each base measures 13 3/4" Long x 9" Wide x 6" High Each base weighs 76 pounds The bases do exhibit some surface scratches that may very well be buffed out One of the bases also has a slight chip on one corner Can't really see it, but can feel it to the touch     Place a Bid!
