Description
WE ARE WELL KNOWN AVANT GARDE ART DEALERS BASED IN SCOTLAND UK WHO TRADE INTERNATIONALLYWe accept payment by paypal so if you are (say) in America, you can pay the pound sterling price using dollars without too much hassle. Here we offer a now rare exhibition catalogue which contains a set of object multiples by the artist - moreover it is a complete example as as most of the few examples offered elsewhere on the internet (for more than asked for here) are missing one postcard from the set which appears to have been a problem with the collation when the portfolio was put together.A COMPLETE EXAMPLE WITH ALL ELEMENTS EXTANTBoltanski, ChristianLOST (PORTFOLIO)Glasgow: Tramway, 199426 x 38cm, card folder with elastic band. Content of five coloured folders containing texts and works by Boltanski, four b/w photographs of the Dead Swiss exhibition at the Glasgow CCA in 1994 and a full colour large format postcard of the Glasgow Macintosh Library reading room. For some reason this latter card is often missing from many of the portfolios issued perhaps because it is not obviously part of the pack but it is listed as such on the contents slip tipped onto the inside flap of the folder. Additionally there is an acknowledgments page and an object multiple – four sets, wrapped (with printed paper bands) of 25 “clocking-in” cards - supposedly original cards from “lost” workers ie people who had been made redundant (a common fate of many manual workers in Thatcher's Britain). Each card has the name on it hand-written (and is otherwise blank - suggesting their unemployment/disappearance) but knowing Boltanski’s art practice one can never be sure if these are real and original cards or a later “fictional” creation by himself. It probably doesn’t matter as the point is clear. This example is in very good and complete condition and is now a very scarce Boltanski item to find.We also hold examples of the poster from this exhibition - if interested do enquire and we may put some up on Ebay.We ship world wide including USA, Canada and mail land europe as well as the UK and we charge only the packaging and shipping costs that it actually costs - we insist on full insurance and a shipping option that allows tracking and signed for documentation for more expensive items. We ship only after we receive payment. Once we receive payment if you prefer you can uplift the print yourself from us or arrange your own courier and insurance. We can accept paypal, credit card or bankers cheque drawn from a UK or sterling bank account or bank transfer although some small additional charges are made if cc or bank transfer (as we have to pay those charges to the banks).PS We release regular lists of items for sale by email - do contact us at mail@heartfineart.com if you are interested in receiving those.
