Description
This original painting was unveiled by General Rick Hillier CDS. This is a Limited Edition print depicting modern Canadian soldiers in the green Cadpat and desert fatigues, backed by their brothers of WW1 and WW2, with the up-armoured Leopard C2 tank. They are set to the backdrop of the Canadian flag. The background shows the trenches of WW1 and the beaches of Normandy from WW2 as well as the desert of today's Afghanistan conflict. All details are technically accurate and true to their era, and will satisfy the most demanding military purist. Canada's soldiers are ranked with the best in the world, a reputation forged through the two Great Wars, Korea and today in Afghanistan. This is a photo-realistic tribute to our sons and daughters who defend justice and human rights here and abroad, and draw their strength from our past heroes. Print is 17"x22", and comes with a small Canadian flag and Tri-Force logo in the bottom left border corner with this quote under the title: 'In the end, it is the sacrifice and deeds of the soldier that dissolves tyranny and delivers freedom and dignity to those unable to fight for it themselves.' $5.00 from every sale will go to Military Family Resource Centres to support our troops! Actual colours of print are far more vibrant than can be seen in this pic. It is a high quality piece of artwork printed as a giclee (the best quality reproduction available today), and is signed and numbered by the artist, and comes with a certificate of authenticity. This is a piece that can be hung with pride! For more info see: www.jameslong.ca
