Paul was a well known physicist from Los Alamos, but was also a photographer by hobbie. Paul and Eliot were friends for many years and travel the world taking photographs together with friends and family. It was published by the Sierra Club in 1963 (although it is entitled Portfolio One, Porter's first portfolio was American Birds from 1953). The Seasons consists of 12 dye transfer prints, 8 x 10 inches in size dry mounted to a 20 x 15 inch backing. The edition was 105 copies, with 100 copies being for sale. The prints are in excellent condition, and the case which is made of linen. The storage box is in good condition and comes with a multsorb case for conservation. The prints are mounted on acid free foam core ready for framing. The portfolio box is in perfect condition. This unique item is appraised at $14,000.00.
