It was published by The Werner Company in 1895 and is 504 pages including Mr. Belden's Prelude. The red leather cover has gold inlay stampings. The photos are arranged in four sections; Religious; Miscellaneous; Studies; and Juvenile. Each b/w engraving has a corresponding text on the opposite page. An alphabetical listing of artists is also included. The photos and text are in good condition and the pages are tight. The front cover is loose; some edge damage; small pieces of the cover missing at the edge of the front cover and the book spine. This would be a valuable book to add to an art history collection.
