Description
Nightime Rooftops This original oil was hand signed a second time on the back of the canvas in person during our visit with Dimitri at the Kush Gallery in Laguna, California, November 2006. Dimitri then returned to the Ukraine to continue to create artwork in his unique style Dimitri Danish is a revered member of the prestigious Union of Ukrainian Artists, the country of his birth and much of his artistic inspiration. Dmitri’s hometown city of Kharkviv is often featured in his art; the small coffee shops under trees, painted walls, and wooden doors are all a part of his colorful enchantments. Three of Dmitri’s paintings are permanently housed as part of the Kharkviv State Museum of Fine Art’s collection, as well as three pieces that hang in the New Jersey Museum of Modern Art. The international demand for Dimitri’s captivating and culturally-inspired creations continues to grow. . Since the fall of the Soviet Union, Danish has traveled throughout Europe, visiting the cities of his imagination. In 2003, the Ukrainian government presented the outgoing American ambassador with a Danish cityscape. And this year he makes his first trip to the United States for one-man shows on both coasts. This is a one of a kind opportunity to obtain a rare oil painting. Dimitri met with us at the Kush Gallery in Laguna Beach, California,. November 2006. He hand signed this original oil painting. He was on tour in Asia, and then San Francisco and Laguna Beach California on his way back to the Ukraine. Nightime Rooftops is a favorite of Dimitri Danish. He painted this oil with an emphasis on lighting the courtyard so that at any time of the day or night the painting would glow radiant with hidden light.
