Les Maitres de L'Affiche is the more well known series because it was an open edition printed in large quantities. More examples remain in existence. Les Affiches Illustrees was a limited edition series published in 3 years 1886 525 copies, 1897 1025 copies and 1897 (Les Affiches Etrangeres Illustrees) 1050 copies. As a limited edition existing examples in good condition are actually much rarer and as such should command higher prices.Ernest Maindron was the editor and the publisher was H. Launett & Cie. in 1886, and G Boudet in 1896 and 1897. Duyck & Crispin designed this poster for the Spa Ferme de Frahinfaz, a cafe and resturant weloming guests on foot or by horseback. This plate from Les Affiches Illustrees Etrangeres is 8.75 X 12.25 inches and in great condition. Only a tiny,tiny amount of edge browning to report.  This one will still frame and hang beautifully.  I have vintage posters from all over Europe.
