Kazuya Sakai signed oil painting 1965 50"x50" No.9 Start Price USD 15,000.00 Current Price USD 15,000.00 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Tuesday, July 01, 2008 End Time Tuesday, July 08, 2008 Location New London, CT See more about 'Kazuya Sakai signed oil painting 1965 50"x50" No.9' Description Welcome to my auctions!  We have here for sale one magnificent specially inscripted on its back and signed large size 50" x 50" original oil painting of a series by Argentinian artist Kazuya Sakai who must have been visiting New York from Argentina in the 60's, that a friend and I rescued from being thrown out in front of a brownstone on East 66th Street between 1st and York Avenue in New York City about 20 years ago and stuck in his mom's attic!  We had it appraised at Sotheby's and Christies and decided to list it ourselves.  It says on the back "Kazuya Sakai 50" x 50" Painting No. 9 January 1965 New York" then is signed by Mr. Sakai then continues "De la Serie Franjas Rojas y Estrellas" which in English means of the series red stripes and stars.
