If you would like to see my company and my father profile, please see at http://www.sukhothaiceramics.com Magnificent Blessing Buddha Hand Sculpture, Traditional Art of Sukhothai is a master pieces of white portland cement with fine detail of fine arts and Buddhists of Dharma . Every detail is philosophy and metaphysics. You can see the valuable 5 Buddha different gestures on the palm. Each gesture is Sukhothai style which stand on the lotus. I would like to introduce 2 gestures on the thumb and the middle finger. The thumb is the most beautiful gesture of walking or Lila episode with the attitude of Dispelling Fear. The middle finger is the Mudra of “Calming the Ocean” . This gesture takes the form of two raised hands to the shoulder, with palms facing outwards and fingers together. It signifies the freedom from fear held by the Buddha due to his enlightenment and supreme wisdom but is also a gesture of friendship. In the ancient world an open palm raised like this was a sign of peace as the hand was clearly weaponless. Buddha images of the Sukhothai period is the outstanding characteristic as the face being oval-shaped, the eye-brow arched, the nose high and bending, the hair top-knotted into a spiral, all the four small fingers being equal in length, the forehead being wide, the chin pointed. The floating gesturing Buddha Image is categorized as one of the most beautiful sculptural arts. It shows the high level of craft capability in molding and casting of Sukhothai Period. The end of arm is face Kala Sukhothai Style,14th Century A.D. A partial "monster" face usually seen on lintels above a temple entrance, where it serves a protective function, with garlands depending from the kala's mouth. A pair of tiny arms may be sketched in below the face. Usually called "kirttimukha" in India . There is a belief that Kala ate time. The implication was that time didn't wait for anyone.
