The total edition was 60 plus a few proofs (of which this is one) Condition: A great print with rich, vibrant and saturated color. Very good condition    Description:This charming and vibrant Femme et Chien is perhaps one of Miró's most richly colored, bold pochoir works. The work features a beautiful, robust female figure which dominates the central composition, with the shapely silhouette of bright yellow, red, and white. In the lower left, we see a whimsical character that accompanies our Femme, who is presumably her faithful and loyal companion, the Chien. They appear to explode from the teal background - the red and yellow complementing the bold, dark colors - which allow for our two characters to inhabit a life of their own. Created in 1936, this original color pochoir is hand signed by Joan Miró (1893 - 1983) in pencil in the lower right margin: "Miró | 1935" and annotated in pencil, "epreuve d'essai" in the lower left margin.
