The work is painted superbly with strong, decisive strokes in thick, rich oil paints.  This great work of art is an original work by Van. This is the first time it has ever been shown anywhere. Van, has spent years in England and loves to talk about and more importantly, to paint Fox Hunt scenes. He has studied all the great artists of the golden age of Fox Hunts, 1750-1920 and can compose his own, original scenes, like this one. This one has 7 excellent horses, complete with properly attired riders and 10 English Foxhounds. A lot of tedious work. But, Van loves to paint them. Fox hunts, good Fox Hunts that have a number of horses, riders and dogs are  more expensive than your normal painting because of all this work. Van believes you have to do the work if you are going to have an authentic Fox Hunt painting. Other artists, mainly from aisan countries, can produce cheap imatations. But, the difference in quality can easily be seen. Why would anyone want to display a  painting, in there home, that is obviously a cheap rip-off ?    The quality of Van's work will make you very proud to display this terrific painting to your friends and guests. What a marvelous painting. The horses are worthy of George Stubbs, the famed horse painter of the late 1700's. You can tell Van loves horses. These are so sleek and fit looking. The figures of the people are excellent as well. But, the horses are  painted in great detail. It looks like a lovely morning for a Fox Hunt with a rather rare, but I'm sure, well appreciated, blue sky. Van says, I love Fox Hunt scenes because they remind me of England. I buy all I can find when I am there, never having had one go unsold.  I can feel the jolly atmosphere early morning, Fox Hunts inevitably bring. Later, around noon, they will all gather at some roadside, country pub with all the dogs and horses in a glorious clamor around the front, while the Fox Hunters sit inside by a roaring fire with a pint and tell stories of how he got away - once again.
