Orig Bettie Felder Oil/Canvas Painting Framed Circa1965 First Time Offered One Owner Prairie Chicken Provenance Start Price USD 25,000.00 Current Price USD 25,000.00 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Monday, August 18, 2008 End Time Monday, August 25, 2008 Location Central Texas See more about 'Orig Bettie Felder Oil/Canvas Painting Framed Circa1965' Description Offered here is an original Bettie Herbert Felder oil on canvas painting, purchase directly from the artist in about 1965 at a sidewalk art show on Montrose Avenue in Houston, Texas in the mid-1960's.  It has been in my possession since then.   Measures 17 inches by 14 inches framed.  This is not a print and has never been offered for sale before.  There has been only one owner since the painting was purchased from Mrs. Felder herself.   It has been in the frame I purchased it in, so I don't know whether there is anything written on the back of the canvas itself.  It has no areas of damage or soiling.  There is one very small dark pin-dot on the far left side of the painting that should be easy to remove but which I'm going to leave to the new owner to decide whether to do anything Also, there is one small piece of  gesso trim missing from the lower right side of the frame, along the outer border that also has to be looked for to be noticed.  Please email me if you want to see close-ups of either area.
