Description
Original Painting Of Pre-Fame Madonna By Ruby Li Long ! Our family just had a nonperforming investor offer fall through; therefore, we are relisting this painting one more time on eBay below: This signed, certified 1979 original oil-on-canvas painting, “Spirit of Athena”, is painter, Ruby Lee’s (aka Ruby Li Long), supreme “Realism” masterpiece in a Da Vincian brush/color method and contains a subject whose likeness unintentionally resembles the Pop Superstar, Madonna, in her natural hair state before she attained fame. This supreme, “Human Form”, “School of Realism” artist did not know that this painting would be a foretelling of the greatest female pop superstar of all time—Madonna. It was a revolutionary accident of fate. This painting is not only painted in a style reminiscent of the skill of the greatest artist in human history, Leonardo Da Vinci, but its subject’s facial expression motif harkens to Da Vinci’s greatest masterpiece—The “Mona Lisa”! Is she smiling to the world or not? If you view “Spirit of Athena” at an angle, and not head-on, Madonna appears to be smiling. Head-on, the beginnings of a grin seem to be forming at the corners of her shapely mouth. I believe this similarity was as unintended by Li Long as the subjects appearance similarities to the real person, Madonna. The skill and technique used on this painting resembles the herculean artistic powers of Da Vinci NOT because Li Long was attempting to deliberately mimic his style, but, rather, because her realism "human form" painting skills had reached so high a summit in 1979 that her brush/color techniques resembled Da Vinci’s more out of necessity than a planned reverence to Da Vinci. Twenty, fifty, or a hundred of years from now, this painting will stand as one of the towering achievements of the second half of the 20th century art world just as Da Vinci’s “Mona Lisa” stands as one of the gigantic achievements of the entire pantheon of the 16th century art world. This is the most desirable, high-value, original work of art acquisition on the internet right now because of its practically limitless value ceiling. Where else can you buy an original oil painting by one of the greatest American artists of the 20th century that foreshadows a pop star of Madonna’s stature, painted in the Da Vincian style, and created 4 years before Madonna rose to fame?!! This painting has been in our private collection since 1980 and is relatively unknown to the art world unlike the artist and her other extant paintings, the majority of which are of mainly American Indian and American Southwest subject matter and motifs. Once this painting achieves the fame that it deserves due to the huge creative powers of its artist and the eminence of its subject matter, its value should approach the rarified air of a Picasso or a Pollock or an O’Keeffe or a Dali or a Kandinsky or a Miro or a Klee, etc.! Plus, Li Long is currently semi-retired from painting in order to concentrate on the art of film making. She won’t ever create another visionary painting of some yet undiscovered music icon. If you need a place to park liquidity in a geometrically appreciating asset that will financially blow away the New York Stock Exchange or any other work of art, don’t hesitate on acquiring this piece. This is the one. Investors will be clamoring to acquire this investment like they would a new original Picasso discovery just revealed to the world from an anonymous attic out in the middle of nowhere. Today you can buy this investment for a tiny fraction of the price of an original Picasso. Tomorrow will be a different story. This soon famous paintings canvas measures 36” inches by 48” inches. This painting will arrive to you with authentication from the artist herself and in the original artist installed frame—her signature gold-on- natural-wood textured framing. Reason for selling: Estate liquidation, plus, this painting needs academic study and cataloguing by an art institution and/or museum of which we are not. Verification of Value: Normal 36" X 48" original oil paintings by this artist are typically worth in the $30,000 to $50,000 reseller price range. However, "Spirit of Athena" is a revolutionary and visionary painting of the highest magnitude because of the above information. After 1983, it became Li Long’s greatest masterpiece. Painted at a Da Vincian skill/style level that released to the world a subject flowering 4 years after its birth into more than a strong likeness to early Madonna before she rose to fame make this piece worth many, many times the above price range. Once this painting is sold for the second time (we are the original owner of this piece having purchased it in 1980 before Madonna was known to the world) from this listing, its value will be set at the price agreed upon by our family and the 2nd buyer here. Its value should rise sharply from there if this 2nd buyer vigorously performs the recommended “after-purchase” activities--introducing this painting to the world through modern art shows, newspaper introduction publicity, formal professional study and cataloguing, and, finally, through inclusion in books on 20th century art. As this piece’s fame increases through these activities so shall its value increase. If this piece is purchased by a museum, the above recommended study and promotional activities are a given, and, are the main reasons why this painting would be an extremely beneficial acquisition for a museum. Shipping Fee: Shipping is free, including shipping insurance which will be quite substantial due to the size of this transaction. NOTE: Because of the size of this transaction, PayPal will have to release 100% of the funds used to pay for this painting to my bank before I will ship this painting to you. I will contact you via email to let you know when and if that occurs.
