Original paintings appreciate much better than lithographs. This piece has not been duplicated so its value will continue to improve. This is an original oil on canvas & board Plein Aire painted by Thomas Kinkade. The painting is 10 inches by 8 inches. The frame is included (frame size is 18.5 by 16.5). This painting has been kept out of direct sunlight since purchase in 1996-1997. The Kinkade gallery catalog number is 0387.961102. History: Thomas Kinkade painted this piece on a trip with his family. You can see them playing in the river in the foreground at Big Sur, California. We were told by the Gallery in Monterey (where the item was purchased) that one of his children accidentally knocked the easel down and the work in progress momentarily fell into the water.
