Lucas and distributed by CAMILLA LUCAS. The etchings, on thick art paper with impressed borders, each picture a different colorful fruit with the French name and @S.Z.Lucas under it. Each etching also has an R and SZL within circles. The initials stand for Sidney Z. Lucas who was the owner of a New York business named "The Old Print Center" and a Gallery named after his mother, The Camilla Lucas Gallery, from 1928 to the 1950's. During these years he traveled to Europe several times a year and commissioned etchings (and other art) by various French artists which he copyrighted and published under the "Paris Etching Society" Imprint. Although many of these artists signed their etchings, the most notable being Salvador Dali, these etchings are not. Included in the portfolio is a seven page brochure, printed in French, with text by Madeleine Connant describing the contents. The etchings, showing very light, if any, wear from age and storage, have been protected in the portfolio which shows some tearing. These beautiful etchings would look wonderful in frames, and will make an outstanding addition to any collection. SHIPPING COST MAY VARRY.
