NOTE: I welcome anyone to come to my home in East Hampton, NY to veiw this painting if need be. For auction is a very old Picasso painting. Size of image- 51cm X 41cm. This Picasso was exhibited by Picasso at Galerie Adrienne , Paris (1938) . It was auctioned at Parke-Bernet Gallery, NY in the Evening Session on Nov-23-1963. The page from the Parke- Bernet Gallery catalogue is mounted to the rear of the painting on a separate paper board as well as the other labels. (see all photos). It was brokered/sold to Bob Grossman in 1964 by Felix Vercel, NY. This painting has an appraisal from "Rosenberg Fine Art & Appraisals".,NY. 1998. The value at that time was placed at 750k to 800k (USD). NOTE: There is a watermark & blind stamp in/on the paper. Also there is a dedication on the rear to Louise, signed and dated by Picasso- 1957. Please veiw all photos. I did the best I could to avoid glare off of the glass. I acquired this Picasso painting from Bob Grossman of Sag Harbor, NY . I had known this man my whole life & he was a good friend to my family as well. He raced cars with my father for years. During the time I worked for Mr. Grossman he had also gifted to me 2 drawings which he had done himself. He drew Cars only and was very well know for it. His art was in many car books/mags. I also have up for auction a Bob Grossman original drawing. Sold as is as shown.
