"THE HUG" 19 INCHES HIGH AND 62 INCHES LONGRetail Price: 25,000Hello Future Bidders This Romero Britto Painting is an original from one of his gallery's in Brazil my father happen to bring me back a few gifts because im in love with his work and I am a self independent artist my self inspired by his work but im in need of money to get my own work out there so I unfortunately have to try to sell some of my prize possessions. Its Original Acrylic Laminated on top so the painting can never be damaged, thats the neat thing my father asked for Romero's gallery to do; a custom order to laminate the top so theirs no reason for a frame it looks perfect with out one. And one more thing I forgot to mention "YOU CANNOT FIND A THREE DIMENSIONAL ORIGINAL ROMERO BRITTO ANYWHERE ELSE ONCE IN A LIFE TIME OFFER THEY SAID THEY WILL NOT EVER DO THIS AGAIN SO IM SURE THIS IS A FIRST TIME YOU'LL EVER SEE THIS ONE OF A KIND"!History:Pop artist Romero Britto was born in Brazil, but came as a young adult to make his home in Miami, FL. Growing up impoverished in Recife, Britto often painted on scraps of cardboard and newspaper. Determined to succeed in his art, Britto left his native Brazil for Europe and then went on to America, exhibiting and selling his art along the way. In 1989, Britto was chosen as an artist in Absolut Vodka’s high-profile ad campaign. Thus catapulted into the limelight, Britto went on to be commissioned by Pepsi Cola, Grand Marnier, Disney, IBM, Apple Computers, and a United Nations postage stamp series, and became the official artist for the Latin Grammy Awards.Considered the heir apparent of neo-pop cubism, Britto uses vibrant and bold, sub-tropical colors, separated and accentuated by thick black lines. Britto sees art as a vehicle for carrying messages of joy and the celebration of life. He donates much of his time and work to charitable causes, such as Amnesty International, the Red Cross, the American Cancer Society, Aids research, and the maintenance of the Brazilian rainforest. He designed the cover for Michael Jackson's CD benefiting the victims of the World Trade Center, "What More Can I Give," and his image "The Gift of Life", promoting the importance of organ donation, appeared on 4000 buses around the world.IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS FEEL FREE TO EMAIL ME AT:CORALGABLESGALLERIES@YAHOO.COM On Oct-09-08 at 22:29:15 PDT, seller added the following information: Your browser does not support JavaScript.
