Salt prints preceded albumens, thus unlike albumens, salt prints are quite scarce. Moreover, salt prints of this large size are rare. Also quite rare is to find a salt print of such a historically significant landmark of not just a single architectural structure, but a panaromic view of the Forum Romanum. It is difficult to see in the image I've attached, and my camera doesn't take extreme closeups of small objects very well. However, there is a man on a horse, a woman standing facing him a few feet in front of him, and a person sitting resting up against the building. This can be seen in the background just to the left of the first column of the Temple of Saturn. There are two more people sitting on the ledge right next to the Arch of Septimus Severus. Artist : unknown Date : 1850s Type : Salt Print Print size : 9.75"x21.25" Frame size : 16"x27.5" Condition : Some color loss and a 1" wide discoloration running vertically from top to bottom through the far right column of the Temple of Saturn.  There are a couple faint surface scratches in the upper right side.
