Very nice old Original German Gouache painting on heavy laid paper! Vintage, Old, Antique, Original - NOT a Reproduction - Guaranteed !! From a prominent local estate in Rochester NY. Upstate NY. Exquisite quality! I bought five of these paintings (all there were in the estate) recently, and will be listing each one tonight. The current one for offer is entitled Ansicht der stadt Frankfurt an der Oder. Lovely scene showing this famou river, ships, etc. Interesting black painted border. Fine detail. I could not locate a signature on this work, but it is was surely done by a master. From the paper and style, I would estimate the date to be circa 1750, perhaps earlier. A cover page with the title has kept this work protected for many years, and has never been framed. This is quite unusual, and only adds tremebdously to the value of this piece. Early gouache / watercolor works such as these are rare, and you would be hard pressed to find one of better quality and brilliance. The work measures 13 1/4 x 8 3/4 inches. In good condition. A few small tears at lower edge - nothing too major. Would look great framed!  See photos below - NOTE: Looks better than shown below - color are much more vivid and bright.
