Web Auctions Hawaii - SAFEDEAL Description Shipping & Checkout Born May 11, 1904, Salvador Dali has been known for his strikingly bizarre images in his “surrealist” work. There was no limit to his work and his style was unlike any other. Whether he was inspired or commissioned to paint, his symbolic complexity truly transcends time and culture. One of his many works, this complete suite of 12 piece is entitled, “Memories of Surrealism”. This particular issue was one of just 40 sets of 12, printed on Japon Paper it is signed in pencil and numbered 3/40. Printed in France, under the supervision of Salvador Dali, these original etchings were done on colored lithographs date back to about 1971. As pictured, it comes in the oversized black booklet that homes all 12 etchings, a table of contents, as well as, a few extra pages of resourceful information. The suite has been storage kept, so it shows some minor water spotting and mold some etchings have some tape residue along the edges from being displayed, but overall they remain in good shape. The image itself measures about 20 3/4" (H) x 16 3/8" (W) and laid-out on a 29 3/4" (H) x 21 1/4" (W) paper. Also included, is a Certificate of Appraisal done back in 1975, this piece has since gone WAY up in value, but the information could be resourceful.
