Description
"Jean, A Personal Collection," is a unique fiberglass, mixed media (handmade paper relief sculpture with collage materials) embellished sculpture, a representation of the well-known hood ornament from the PACKARD AUTOMOBILE, by artist Phyllis Bako. The sculpture is 6 feet tall, 8 1/2 feet long, and 32 inches wide.It has a removable fiberglass internal bottom plate that can hold weighted sand bags, this can be bolted onto the main body of the sculpture. The buyer is required to pay all shipping and insurance charges noted by the shipping company. If you have any questions, please contact me at phyllis.bako@hotmail.com. I am willing to negotiate the price due to what I would imagine will be a large shipping charge due to the size of this sculpture. Also, the photo provided does not do it justice. This piece is absolutely stunning in person. I would also be willing to discuss exhibition opportunities. ARTIST'S STATEMENT:Jean - A Personal Collection. The Illuminated Manuscripts of the 13th and14th centuries inspired this creation of Jean. A Personal Collection. I envision the Goddess with the same intricatescrolled borders, elongated linear style, glowing red-browngoldsurfaces, and pictorial narratives, but more contemporary.I attempted to reproduce in mixed media, a dense text-like pattern juxtaposing a collage of images as well as contradictingtextures to leave the viewer with a vivid impression oflavishness and a sense of curiosity. The underlying focus isthat each individual woman (goddess) has dignity and worth.
