All images were not uploaded, if you want to see remaining images please contact seller. This is truly one-of-a-kind art. Titled Self Portrait in a Convex Mirror by John Ashbery. Limited edition number: 26/175, dated 1984 Housed in a cylindrical canister are 40 sheets of handmade paper. Eight prints, 32 pages of John Ashbery's poem, and an album. Signed, numbered and dated prints by Richard Avedon, Elaine DeKooning, Willem DeKooning, Jim Dine, Jane Freilicher, Alex Katz, R.B.Kitaj, and Larry Rivers are included. The album includes a forward by John Ashbery, his reading of the poem and an essay by Helen Vendler. The text of the poem is handset in Cochin in lines that radiate as spokes from a hub holding the page number, so that the pages are literally turned to be read. The forward is signed in pencil by the poet and the colophon is signed in pencil by the printer Andrew Hoyem. Paper handmade by Twinrocker Mill in Indiana, and stainless steel canister made by Atlas Metal Spinning in San Francisco, CA. INSURANCE & SHIPPING COVERED BY SELLER
