Sir Thomas Lawrence known for his spectacular ability to capture likeness, and his bold exuberant technique ,born out of a supreme confidence in handling oil painting . Lawerence was an instinctive painter , and thus able to capture sudden moments of life sensitivity in his sitters. Extremely rare find.  Selling an original series No. 1 Tafford Plaque 1769-1830 . This is a very beautiful piece of art . Made by Old Masters in England. Entire piece measures 16 1/12 in diameter. Picture is oilgraph painting on metal  woman standing on a rock cliff near the seaside measures 7 1/4 inches . Outer plate is made of brass. Woman is wearing a long pale blue dress ,ruffled collar and puffed sleeves with pink sash and pink bonnet. Woman is fair complected very beautiful brunette with blue eyes wearing red lipstick. You can see her bonnet straps and dress blowing in the wind . Windy day waves of the sea are expressed water is a deep sea green.  A cloudy day with blueish grey and mixed blues fills the sky with  yellow undertones near the water. Rock cliff  with small amount of grass and a few red flowers detail the cliff. Under the oilgraph is a  metal label "PINKIE" Lawrence P.R.A (1769-1830 )  Oilgraph is process on metal . Back of plaque is engraved with the words Tafford Plaques  Series No 1 Old Masters. Under this engraving is a stamp 1 3/4 inches by 1 3/4 . Stamp reads Original and Genuine  Old Maters Oilgraph processed on metal, Registered Design Tafford Plaques . Under stamp is engraved World Patents Pending Made in England . On the back of plaque their are some scratches where the previous owners had a chain for hanging. Other than that  the piece could use some shine  but we ar leaving that for the new owners to do.
