Description
You are bidding on a 24 3/4 by 36 1/2 silkscreened poster of Marilyn Monroe. The photo was originally taken by Bert Stern in 1962 as part of the "Last Sitting". The photo was taking six weeks before Marilyn died. This poster was commissioned by Bert Stern for a charity event in New York City in 1967. The bottom of the poster reads- Homage to Marilyn Monroe for the benefit of the Association for the mentally ill children in Manhattan December 6-30, 1967 at Sidney Janis. This is an extremely rare piece of memorabilia. This would be nearly impossible to find. The poster has begun to oxidize around the edges of the poster. The outside edges are oxidized brown. Some parts of the edges are very fragile. There two/three brown oxidization spot on the white part of the poster(top left), but the picture itself is perfect. This could easily be hidden with a frame. this poster is 41 years old. The photo will be shipped in a parcel poster tube container. There is no frame. Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions or comments. Will consider reasonable offers. The shipping, handling and insurance will be taken care of by the seller.
