I'm not sure which art form I like more. My work has evolved throughout the greater New York area and in places such as New Hope, PA, New Bern NC, Napa Valley CA and Scottsdale AZ, one of my favorite places to visit. My work experience has led me to meet many people over the years including well known musicians, actors, politicians, comedians, sports figures and leaders of industry.   This has opened the door for me to meet many art collectors. Now and them I would show someone a new picture I had taken to get reaction. Some of these people noticed that many of my pictures were in strong direct sunlight and thought these were my best shots.  I therefore decided to focus on and specialize in this area of photography. Many of my pictures now hang in the homes of some very interesting folks. This has opene d the door for me to meet many art collectors. Now and them I would show someone a Let me be “clear” up front. I am a raw photographer. I use no special or expensive equipment or materials and my pictures may not be crystal clear or “clean” in many cases. I have seen the work of  many fine nature photographers out there. Their work is incredible and I love it. However, that’s not me. I am simple, raw and childlike in my work. I hope you like it. But if you don’t, I understand. Not everybody “gets it”.   My SunScapesArt collection made me feel wonderful taking the pictures and even better creating the magical colors that only direct sunlight hitting a beautiful or interesting object can produce. It’s amazing how intense sunlight can create such beautiful yellows and whites on dark objects. I also love sunset and sun rise shots. When I look at these pictures I feel happy. They bring a smile to my face. To me, there are no other colors like this in the world. Explosive and surreal.     The subjects of my SunScapesArt are common things that surround me, many on Long Island, New York although some work was done elsewhere such as the Catskill Mountain area in upstate NY, Ocean City MD, and far away places like Mexico and Bermuda. What caught my attention was how direct sunlight can become so involved in an art form. I knew my subjects had to be frozen in time quickly before the moment faded. I now had the opportunity to work with an unlimited canvas of intense color. I work each print by manipulating and intensifying the color until I felt the piece was "ripe".  Sometimes I alter a picture with electronic “painting” and other techniques to get a desired result. After that, it’s up to you. What do you see?   Remember, the focus can vary from picture to picture. A lack of focus, I my eyes, can enhance the beauty of this art form. I can think of no greater compliment as when a viewer says, "Wow, what is that? I love the colors. But what is it?"Each SunScapesArt is signed and dated in Silver Ink on the front. On the back they are labeled with the  title, numbered and lastly imprinted with my "finger imprint" for authenticity. (The pictures of imprints and signatures shown are samples and not the actual one you will receive)  SunScapesArt prints are 8 X 10 inches. The watermark on the image you see is not present on the final print. Each SunScapesArt is framed in our signature floating frame (9 in. X 11 in.) with pure silver Sun Logo.     Because it’s a floating (glass on both sides) frame you can see all relevant information on the back including my fingerprint. Please allow 7-10 days for delivery. Each picture is shipped by priority mail with insurance (see shipping rates). International shipping is additional. If you need quick delivery, let me know and I will recalculate the charges.   SunScapesArt  is a limited collection (200 of each print). I only plan to sell 75% (numbers 51-200) on the Internet. The price will increase if demand increases. I plan to sell the remaining collection (numbers 10 -50) at in-person appearances, mainly in the New York area.. I am saving  the first 10 of each picture for more serious collectors. All original media forms will be destroyed.      As time goes by, I will add new work. If all goes as expected the prices should increase to about $49.00 in 2009, $65.00 in 2010 etc. Please buy carefully because these photos are "as is" and are not returnable.  I don’t have the time for returns, unless for extraordinary circumstances. Of course, I offer combined postage discounts for multiple purchases which works well for those who want certain shots which are from the same place or subject.   Some of my collectors have noticed a variety of odd face like shapes that seem  to show up in many prints, if you look for them. This is unintentional but I hope it will add to your enjoyment of these exquisite explosions of color through nature. Please note that from time to time I will take pictures at night or indoors. These are rare but may be of interest to you. There is usually some unique or strange lighting that catches my eye.   Some of my work has been sent to well known movie actors, musicians, artists and world leaders. I have not had a negative response and I am hoping word will get out in their circle of friends. This could only help increase interest over time. I hope my SunScapesArt form moves you in some way. Mainly, it should make you feel happy.
