Description
You are viewing a superb bronze caribou sculpture by Montana artist Daniel Parker, one of the finest wildlife sculptors in the world today. It is seriously large, standing a robust 18 x 9 x 21 inches, not including the height of the solid walnut base. This beast sports wonderful double shovel antlers. He is descending a slope on the frozen Canadian tundra. The statue, entitled "Tundra Tramp", is from a small limited edition of only 49 strikes and is signed to the base of the bronze by Daniel Parker, a well listed and award winning master wildlife sculptor. The great French masters from the 19th century such as Barye and Mene set the bar very high with their work. Parker gains inspiration from the great European sculptors, particularly the French, who showed the world how a well executed animal sculpture should appear. Parker has succeeded brilliantly with this piece. I guarantee that you will agree or you'll get your money back, no questions asked. Please allow 8-10 weeks, possibly sooner, for casting. A 50% casting deposit is required by the winning bidder. The balance will be due immediately prior to shipment. Very heavy piece, nearly 50 pounds. Low start price on this wonderful piece which retails for $4,000. Consult Askart, Davenport, Art Price and other sources for prices on Daniel Parker bronzes sold at auctions around the country. Check my other auctions for nice bronzes of elk, deer, moose, bobcats, and grizzly bears. We will ship to Canada, a country that has a special appreciation for this handsome and rugged animal. We also have a smaller 9 inch version of another caribou that is similar in design up for bid so don't miss that one.
