His prolific work includes mostly paintings and etchings of Southern Swedish cultural highlights. Folke Gullby came from the same region of Sweden as many of those people that emmigrated to the United States in the mid- to late 19th century, mostly famed and depicted by movies like "The Emmigrants" and subsequently "The Immigrants". His work is currently represented in a number of Nordic National and Regional museums, and is increasingly gaining internaitonal attention.
