Description
YOU ARE BIDDING ON AN EXCEPTIONAL WORLD CLASS MUSEUM PIECE FROM CANADA'S FAMOUS, JUDA NATANINE. JUDA CALLED THIS CREATION "UNTAMED PASSION". THIS SPECATACULAR CARVING IS NEW AND IS WORTH WELL OVER $5000 IN AN INUIT ART GALLERY. JUDA WAS WORLD RENOWN FOR HIS INUIT CARVINGS. SOME PARTICULARITIES ABOUT JUDA IS THAT HE IS WORLD RENOWN FOR HIS UNIQUE STYLE IN CARVING BEARS. BEFORE HIS PREMATURE DEATH IN 1997, HIS CARVINGS WERE WELL SOUGHT AFTER BY COLLECTORS AND HAVE TOURED IN SEVERAL EXHIBITIONS (listed below). THIS IS ONE OF THE LAST CARVINGS BY HIM ON THE OPEN MARKET. ACQUIRING ONE OF HIS PRECIOUS PIECES, SIMPLY PUT IS AN IMMEDIATE INVESTMENT. AS ALREADY PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED, AND SHOULD BE GREATLY EMPHASIZED, IS THAT IN ANY ART GALLERY LIKE OTTAWA, MONTREAL OR QUEBEC CITY, THIS CARVING WOULD SELL EASILY FOR OVER $5000.This carving is both Large and Impressive as it measures 12 inches high by about 6" wide. It is made out of spectacular white marble. Highlights that I would like to point out concerning this exquisite piece are first and foremost - the subject. Two Bears hugging each other is something I am certain you have never seen before. This is a completely original piece with a harmonized feel to it. It is peacefull and not aggresive. This most reflects the spirit of how the Inuits live their lives. They are a very peaceful and humble people. These Bears are happy together. This carving is incredibly smooth with perfect contours and curves throughout. A double carving (like this one, with two animals in one piece) is much harder to make than single portrait carvings. Furthermore, like any artist, I believe Juda is deseas, has dramaticly increased the value of his carvings. The feature that stands out the most with this piece is her color. The white beautiful marble really makes the carving electrifying. Your audience will take notice immediately as they enter the room. This piece is worth well over $5000 in a Inuit art gallery. As mentioned in other postings, I only buy carvings from well recognized artists who's who's are extraordinarily beautiful and unique. I stay away from the "giftware" and only deal with REAL art. Since I am somewhat of an artist myself outside of work, I like to think that I have good taste. When I saw these Bears for the first time, I was really taken aback. I have never seen a bear carving as detailed and beautiful before! A masterpiece such as these Bears, from an internationally acclaimed artist, who's works have toured all over the world on the international stage, will be certain to appreciate in value over the years. This acquisition is investment and will pay you immediate dividends down the road. The carving comes with an igloo sticker on the bottom of the carving (authenticity certificate issued by government of Canada). The carving is also signed on the bottom in Inuktitut language.THIS CARVING HAS NO DEFECTS OR INCLINATION AND IS IN PERFECT CONDITION. We tried our very best to eliminate this glare as much as possible, but the carving is so well polished, that it is like a mirror. ***SHIPPING: Insurance is already included into the shipping price.
