Many of the emeralds are jem quality and not oiled. A few emeralds have fallen off, but I have in my possession. From very reputable dealer in Colombia, South America Purchased from over 18 years ago. Tried to get piece appraised. Was informed inorder to appraise this piece they would have to remove the emeralds which would hurt the artistic value.
