He studied paintion at the Academy of Fine Arts. From his first year at the school, his artworks drew critical acclaim and attracted attention from Italian and foreign admirers. The brother of another famous artist, Antoio Ianniccelli, this artist is known especially for his "rustic scenes" and coastal views. Iannicelli paints in a neo-impressionistic style with short brushstrokes, rich colors, and pastoral compositions depicting the countryside, orchards and idyllic coastal regions.
