VINTAGE REVERSE PAINTING ON GLASS JAPAN Start Price USD 24.95 Current Price USD 24.95 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price USD 34.95 Reserve Price - Start Time Wednesday, August 20, 2008 End Time Wednesday, August 27, 2008 Location Wells, Maine See more about 'VINTAGE REVERSE PAINTING ON GLASS JAPAN' Description VINTAGE REVERSE PAINTING ON GLASS JAPAN This classic reverse painting on glass was made in Japan c. 1940 and is approximately 12" x 14-1/2" x 2-7/8" deep.  The painting itself is 8" x 10-1/2" and is backlighted by a pair of 15w "fish tank" bulbs, with a switch at the base of the metal frame.  The paint, glass and frame are all in very good ondition but for a bit of paint loss at the frame corners and a few fine hairlines in the green paint.  The back panel is somewhat loosely attached to the frame, which is a non-issue as long as it's on the wall.  It has a lovely warm look when lit, and would be a striking addition to your decor!  NOTE: Bulbs not included.  Photo taken with 25w clear bulbs - 15w frosted work better.
