This embroidery is made of Silk and depicts a white crane and pine trees. China produces beautiful embroideries of various kinds and many are presented either round or rectangular with a border around the actual embroidered piece.The white crane is a very strong symbol in China for longevity.  A piece like this may have been given to a couple as a wedding gift to bestow long life and prosperity to the married couple.
