still SquareTrade © AP6.0 Check out my other items!  Below are some paintings sold recently on eBay with their respective prices.       IMPRESSIONIST PAINTER  & ARTISTICAL EXPEDITIONARY WILLIAM HAWKINS DESCRIPTION: This auction is for a very large  36x24 inch original oil painting on canvas mounted on board.  This will frame to approximately 45x33 inches and look good in a wide profile dark wood, plein air or impressionist style frame.  Two dimensional art is ALWAYS described as vertical x horizontal dimensions.  If you see art that claims to be from a "collected" artist with high retail or "gallery" values and they list their work horizontal x vertical you can be pretty sure they've not really sold in or been around fine art galleries or museums for that matter...just more eBay fluff to wade through. The painting has some thick paint and very expressive brush work.  I use no black on my pallette and very few tube colors (I'm using more than I used to)...a lot of mixing happens right on the canvas.  You can see some of my technique on the YouTube video links ...and there might be more info. about this painting on the blog link below. To keep the summertime art groove going...If you choose the Buy It Now feature the shipping is free!. This great new original oil painting would sell in a gallery for about $2400-$2600framed. I don't like eBay fluff so I wouldn't say this if it weren't true.  I've sold quite a number of big ol' paintings at retail prices in nice, swanky, high-end galleries over the years.   The frame pictured below can be purchased with the painting.  I mill these right here in my little desert studio out of select grade wood, 5 inches wide with an antiqued black finish.  This size would be $189 TITLE: The Irrigation Ditch Check out blog here http://williamhawkins.blogspot.com/ News: I am now making frames to go with my paintings.  They are solid, furniture grade hardwood or select grade clear fir in a black / antiqued finish.  These are high-quality wide profile frames at great prices.  ...very hard to find anything in this wide profile...and very expensive when you do. Just write for details.  One of my recent works was purchased by the Grand Canyon Association to hang in their permanent collection.  It will be on display in the famous Kolb Studio Museum on the south rim of the canyon along with some of the best paintings ever made of that historic and beautiful place!   I use archival quality paints and substrates and finish all paintings with a quality varnish for protection and cleanability.  I paint on standard size canvas panels so the frame you need to fit your painting will be easy to find. Feel free to write with any questions about the work.            I'm honored to have been voted  "Best Landscapes on eBay" three years in a row by eBay artists. Thank you!     WARNING:  There are a lot of tricksters out there.  Beware of any emails that try to solicite sales outside of my auctions.  I'm not sure how they get bidders addresses but it happens.  If you're contacted by me personally you'll know it...I hardly ever write with a foreign accent. Also, you can always contact me directly through my auctions...I answer every letter. Gracias!   Here's a little piece of studio magic for you.   To see more of these videos just open the You Tube screen by double clicking on it and you will view a page that gives more options...click on "more from this user"
