Description
One of the most beautiful pantings in the world "The Virgen with child" from the "Cuzco School of Painting". Originated in the ancient Inca capital, is a 17th-century painting which blended European and indigenous motifs to create a new world art form. This art was brought to peru by italian brother Bernardo Bitti, SJ (1548-1610) Bernardo Bitti learned his art in Rome among the Mannerist painters who followed in the train of Michelangelo. Historian Manuel Soria called him the best painter of sixteenth century in South America. This painting is devotional in nature and richly decorated. The artists incorporated recognizable work in his art made with christian's and love faith. Cuzco wooden gold frame esculpted in "PAN DE ORO." This painting comes from the hacienda called "Chinicara", part of the history and art tradition of Cuzco, centuries XVII-XVIII.
