Description
There is no description of the painting by the artist himself and I myself cannot bring justice to his paintings through words. Therefore I have provided a direct link to this legendary artists page with samples of his other pieces. You cannot find this piece anywhere else though, my family and I had moved into his home and this was done as a private piece, just now making its debut. This piece was originally appraised at over $20,000 but now it is available to the public for a fraction of the price. Below is a short bio and accomplishments of the famed artist William Adair wildlife artists.Copy and Paste into your browser. Here is the link to his page and gallery:http://www.netartgallery.com/adair/gallery/gallery1.htmBill began his diverse art career, drawing and painting animals on his parents Indiana farm. His passion for birds and animals was apparent from his earliest recollection. Bill’s mother was a talented portrait artist, who encouraged him to pursue this love of nature and wildlife in variety of art forms. After many years he was no longer content with painting just North American wildlife. Bill expanded his subject matter to include exotic birds and animals from around the world. As his artwork progressed, he has been sought after by many conservation organizations. These include the Audubon Society, National and International Wildlife Society, Ducks Unlimited, the Ruffed Grouse Society, Pheasants Forever, Trout Unlimited, and the Rocky Mountain Elk Society, to name just a few. Bill’s work has appeared on conservation stamps, magazines, calendars, and on television shows like PM Magazine. His work is in private collections across the US, Canada, Mexico, and main land China. Special commissions have helped raise thousands of dollars for many important conservation efforts. You will be able to find Bill’s paintings done in acrylic, oils, watercolors, and ink. He currently has over 30 pieces in limited edition Paintings. Bill has also expressed himself in sculpture and taxidermy. After completing his education at Ball State University, he moved to Michigan, teaching for 26 years, constantly developing his art. Bill currently is enjoying a change in environment in Gulf Breeze, Florida. He is currently the premier artist for Northern Interiors, a business that markets wildlife art in the Midwest, New York, and Colorado. PHILOSOPHY OF ART “I believe that art begins where nature ends. My paintings are not just copies of nature. I like to manipulate and orchestrate the art, to create a particular mood or evoke a particular emotion from the viewer. Hopefully, after looking at one of my paintings, the viewer comes away with a different feeling about the subject matter, and an interest in knowing more.” Here are just a few of the awards he has won.*2000-2001 Florida State Turkey Stamp winner. *2001 Florida Wild Turkey Federation sponsor Painting winner. *1997-98 Michigan Ducks Unlimited.
