Donaldson. 1900.  In the year 1895, the famous painter Adolf William Bouguereau painted the "Abduction of Psyche"  and this lis a reproduction of that famous painting.  Back in that time period, artist would travel to Europe and go to  studios and paint pictures as they viewed the original paintings.  I am almost certain that was how this painting was done.  It is very old and could use a professional cleaning.  It has a couple of  frayed spots where the nails held the outer frame on.  It's  is  a very beautiful painting and I have owned it for 31 years.  I purchased it from an elderly woman who said her father got it when he was over seas when she was a small child  The painting is very large  6 feet tall and 38 inches wide.  It has a cross bar on the back for support.
