Is signed by the forearm: Petagno III '69. I've emailed Petagno's website but received no answer. If you are unfamiliar with his works, check the bio at Wikipedia. He became known for some classic metal album covers, such as motorhead & orgasmatron. Also did numerous science fiction book covers. This is on thick cardboard, about 13 1/2" square. The hand and the iconic hippie figure giving the peace sign are cut out (thick paper) and attached to the surface, raised. The colors are sharp. Condition issues probably are due to looks like it was never framed. All four corners of the cardboard are bent or slightly peeled back. At top & bottom center of the border are small pinholes, so it was probably just pinned to a wall. I bought it several years ago at a flea market in Long Beach, Ca. along the top border, the shiny cardboard is rough, like a piece was peeled. There are a couple of scuff marks, in the black section at bottom & just left of the "p" in peace. Having said all that, most of the problems are in the border. Framed properly, this will be a great piece of iconic hippie peace & love art. Please ask questions. Outside US must pay by paypal.
